What's on this week.

Monday - 5.30pm Circuits, Goodwin Activity Room 2

Also pub, 8.30 onwards, Fox and Duck

Tuesday - 6.15 Intervals, meet ourside the gates of Goodwin and we'll run down to Endcliffe Park.

Wednesday - 6.45, SYO Clubnight, this week is a circuits session, Pearson Building, Sport Hallam

Thursday - The Kelham Island Urban Race on Thursday March 8th will be a normal (if there is such a thing), night middle’ish race on anew map.  I have booked the upstairs room at the Fat Cat for food, great beer and a general get together afterwards.  However, food needs to be pre-ordered and it would also be good to know who’s running at the same time so if you plan on coming please RSVP with food and course orders. Courses on offer

·         Long –6.0km as the crow flies

·         Medium – 4Km

·         Short – 1.5km.  only crosses a few minor roads – should be ok for children if you trust them

The Long and Medium courses will cross several busy roads and because it gets dark later, the O’ing won’t start until 7 with last start around 7.45. Food will be from 8.30’ish.

Saturday - Urban Orienteering (SHAFF Weekend) 


The event will be on an exciting all-new map by Oli Johnson including Park Hill flats and the new Sheaf Park, but also crossing to Victoria Quays with assembly in the new amphitheatre above the mainline Sheffield Station. It will have 3 urban orienteering courses plus some kids activities - a beginner's course and a kid's course,

Starts between 11:00 and 12:30.  Cost for beginners and kids courses £1 juniors (under 21), £3 adults.  The standard orienteering courses will cost £3 juniors, £7 adults, with a discount of £2 for adult British Orienteering members and those having a ticket for a ShAFF film.  Please preenter at http://www.fabian4.co.uk/default.aspx?EventID=649  if possible so that we know how many maps to provide.  Entries will stay open until Wednesday 7th March.

Course lengths are:

• Short: 1.6km (under-18)
• Medium: 3.5km
• Long: 4.8km

This event will be part of the Yorkshire Urban League. The following courses should be entered for those who want to score points: Long (Men's Open, Women's Open, Men's Vet), Medium (Women's Vet, Men's Supervet, Men's Ultravet) and Short (Junior Men, Junior Women, Supervet Women and Ultravet Women).
