British University Championships or BUCS is an annual inter-universities orienteering competition.

​It takes place over a full weekend in Spring, and involves an individual orienteering race and also a relay.

As well as the running, there's also a meal and a themed social where ShUOC comes out in their finest fancy dress.

Our members from both Sheffield University and Sheffield Hallam compete for their respective universities - but both united in their determination to prove ShUOC's dominance throughout the weekend. 


Elite student athletes can also represent GB students in orienteering, at the World University Championships and European University Championships.
