It was another busy weekend of racing for ShUOC!
A few of our members travelled to Llanberis for the British Fell Intercounties. A huge well done to Ben Sharrock who took the Mens U23 silver medal for Greater Manchester. Well done to Eve Pannone who was running for Cumbria and took the individual WU23 gold medal with the Cumbria team taking the team gold medal. Elsewhere in the field, Henry Webb ran for Staffordshire for the Mens Team, so well done to him. Well done to Alex Mason and Alice Gamble who both represented Yorkshire with the Mens team taking the gold and the Womens team taking silver. Back in the homeland of Sheffield, 3 of our members headed over to SYO's area of Treeton. A huge well done to Chloe Potter who took 1st place on Short Brown with Adrien coming 18th. Well done to Laura Harrison for coming 2nd on Green. It was a busy day of racing for ShUOC members yesterday!
The majority of our members competed in the Guisborough 3 Tops Fell Race held by Esk Valley Fell Club. In the MU23, a huge well done to Ben Sharrock who came 3rd, Alex Mason 5th, Evan Bowers 8th and Toby Antcliff 12th with Harry Scott coming 17th. In the WU23 category, a huge well done to Eve Pannone who came 1st with Alice Gamble coming 4th! Another huge well done to Joe Woodley who came 11th in MSEN as well! Over in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, at the finish for the 3 Peaks Race, Henry Webb came back in 13th place after 23.3 miles after hitting Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough! A huge well done to him! Back in Sheffield, Chloe and Adrien ran at the local South Yorkshire Orienteers Saturday Orienteering Series and came 1st and 3rd respectively on Blue. Some of our ex ShUOC members have also been out and about. A huge well done to our ex ShUOC members Matthew Elkington and Nathan Lawson who came 3rd and 5th respectively at the Guisborough 3 Tops. Over in Wales, on the Pembrokeshire Coast, ex ShUOC members Joe Thomas, Tomos King and Liam Overett completed the Endurancelife Pembrokeshire Marathon with Joe coming 19th and Liam coming 117th.
