On Friday, Liam, Adrien and Evan set off to run The Sheffield Big Walk to help raise money for Genetic Disease Research at the University of Sheffield🧬. The route took them round Edale Skyline and heading back into Sheffield, in total they completed 50km with Eleanor joining for the final 30km🏃🏻🏃🏼♀️.
Evan told us about the day “A few of the more mentally unhinged members of ShUOC, including myself, decided to run The Big Walk in aid of Genetic Disease Research at the university this past Friday. We battled the physical, mental and geographical ups and downs but I’m very proud to say we all completed the distances even if we were in various states of broken!” Adrien told us “It was a brilliant day out with some fellow ShUOCers in the Peaks running the 50km Big Walk, some niggles here and there but we mustered through!” Liam just kept it simple, “It was fun”. Eleanor summed up the day “It was a great end to my first year at university, running my longest run with some other ShUOCers. A really enjoyable day!” A huge well done to all 4 ShUOC members, an absolute fantastic achievement! You can still donate to the cause to help support the research at the Uni🖤💛 The link to donate: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/shuoc-big-walk-2022 Comments are closed.
