KEEP UP WITH ShUOC

29/10/2023

29/10/2023

ShUOC has been here there and everywhere this week!!!!

On Saturday, a group of ShUOCers travelled up to the EBOR York Indoor Cup at Millthorpe School, leaving bright and early to pick up a Parkrun at Temple Newsam on the way up.
Women's Open: 2nd Eleanor Ellis, mp Chloe Potter.
Men's Open: 5th Dominic Green, 13th Adrian Gallet, mp Ben Stevens.

Back in Sheffield, another group met at a rather boggy Endcliffe Parkrun. Well done to Jonty Cope, Hannah Noble, Rebecca Ward, Joseph Goodwin and Abbie Walker for braving the cold morning!!

Over in the Lake District, Andrew Macdonald took two races, first completing the Race to the Summit, placing 1st U23, followed by the Buttermere Shepherds Meet where once again he stole the title of first U23!

Down in the depths of Wales, the OMM was underway. Maya Hampshire Wright, and SPOOK alumni Madeleine Davis came 11th Female team on the medium score, and Robert Seddon and his partner came 2nd overall on the Short Score.

It's been a weekend of long racing too! On Saturday SPOOK members Liam Overett completed the Endurancelife North York Moors Marathon, a brilliant feat!!!! And on Sunday Charlotte Mosley took on the Worksop Halloween Half Marathon, completing it in a spookily smashing time, despite achey knees.

Some ShUOCers have been racing Cross Country this weekend too!! Alex Mason and Jason Hayman both competed at the Manchester University X-Country Relays on Saturday. And on Sunday, Eve Pannone, Chloe Potter, Alice Gamble and Alex Mason all raced at the South Yorkshire X-Country in Longley Park!!

And finally, our Social Sec Tom Perry has been out in the depths of Czechia, orienteering training as part of the British Squads pre JWOC prep!!!!!

Well done all who have competed this week!!!!!!!
