This weekend, ShUOC took part in the British Fell Relays in Braithwaite.
ShUOC's team, comprising of Louis James, Andrew Macdonald, Dominic Green, Abbie Walker, Rebecca Ward & Freya Tatham, had a brilliant race placing 4th overall in the mixed teams category! This was the first time that we know of, that ShUOC has put forward its own team rather than just running under local clubs (ye oldie SPOOK members let us know if this isn't the case), so congratulations all!!! Well done too to the other members of ShUOC who competed and ran for their local clubs: Cynog Williams, Edward Corden, Ben Sharrock, Tim Barry, Henry Webb, Alice Gamble, Alex Mason, Tom Perry, Eve Pannone & Harry Kneen, as well as our SPOOK Alumni! Some really brilliant performances out there!!!! On Sunday, while the Fell runners were out on 'easy recovery' runs up some big hills, other ShUOCers raced in the EPOC orienteering event at Judy Woods. Well done to Ben Stevens who was 5th on the Brown, and to Max Watson who was 13th on the Light Green!! And finally, out in the Peak District, Jack Baker took part in the Peak Raid, placing 17th out of 105, with 430 points. A brilliant result!!!! Well done all who have raced and to those who have been joining us during our training session!!!! Comments are closed.
