As we successfully made it out of the Lake District terrain intact, it's time to review what ShUOC has been up to this week!
This weekend, a group from ShUOC travelled up to the Lake District to compete in the British Night Orienteering Champs, as well as the events in Keswick and Loughrigg! Some excellent running out there! Keswick: Long - 39th Joseph Goodwin, 42nd Rebecca Ward British Nights: M21 - 12th Adam Conway, 15th Dominic Green, 23rd Joseph Goodwin, 27th Benjamin Stevens W20 - 6th Maya Hampshire Wright W21 - 7th Rebecca Ward Loughrigg: Blue - 10th Benjamin Stevens, 14th Alex Mason, 45th Maya Hampshire Wright Brown - 23rd Adam Conway, 33rd Dominic Green, 42nd Joseph Goodwin, 67th Rebecca Ward While the orienteers were out trying not to get lost, Cynog, Alex and Tom spent their time exploring the fells of the Lakes, experiencing some cracking views! ShUOC also hosted two GIAG events this week - Orienteering at Burbage and a Fell Run out from Castleton!! And on Thursday, the sky blessed us (or cursed us, depending on who you ask) with snow, leading to a classic snowy Rivelin Valley run (and a snowball fight where we dominated over mountaineering).
