BUCS

British University Championships or BUCS is an annual inter-universities orienteering competition. It takes place over a full weekend in Spring, and involves an individual orienteering race and also a relay.

As well as the running, there's also a meal and a themed social where ShUOC comes out in their finest fancy dress.

Both University Of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam members of the club can compete in BUCS Orienteering.

BUCS Orienteering 2023 is set to be held in Edinburgh, and we are looking forward to sending our orienteers up to Scotland to compete against some of the best orienteering universities!

Elite student athletes can also represent GB students in orienteering, at the World University Championships.
